British Ceramics Biennial

Creative Concern designed and developed the print, site dressing and website for the British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) 2015, working with The Clay Foundation. The Biennial took place from 26 September to 8 November in Stoke-on-Trent, the heart of the UK ceramics industry, at the original Spode factory site and in other spaces across the city.

BCB launched in 2009 as a festival celebrating and showcasing international contemporary ceramics. The 2015 festival further cements its, and Stoke-on-Trent’s, role as an international centre for excellence.

The web presence needed to be responsive, so it could act as a practical information tool during the festival; to be highly visual to showcase participating artists’ work; and to help positions BCB as an authoritative voice in British ceramics.

The print and site dressing featured photographs of wording pressed into clay, taken by Jonathan Keenan Photography.
